Phase 1: Esports Academy

Terms & Conditions for Applicants and Participants

Effective date: 1 September 2026 · Version 1.0

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern applications to and participation in the PUBG MOBILE Publisher Partner Programme — Phase 1: Esports Academy (the "Programme"). By submitting an application, you ("the Applicant" or "the Participant") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1.The Organiser and the Programme

1.1 The Programme is organised and administered by InGame Entertainment PVT LTD (the "Organiser"), as contracted by PUBG MOBILE.

1.2 The Programme is a training initiative that aims to build skills and train a new generation of video game fans and communities, enabling them to get directly involved in the process of games publishing in their region. The inaugural edition focuses on organising Esports tournaments and events.

1.3 The Programme consists of an 8-week remote training course comprising eight (8) learn-at-your-own-pace modules, one live session per module, an assessment at each module, and one final assessment consisting of a detailed proposal for an Esports tournament. The commencement date will be communicated to selected Participants.

1.4 Up to two (2) top-performing Participants may, based on performance, be offered a three (3) month internship with hands-on work experience. The offer of any internship is at the Organiser's sole discretion; the Organiser is under no obligation to offer an internship to any Participant and may elect not to offer any internships. Graduates of the Esports Academy may additionally be given the opportunity to pitch their event proposal directly to PUBG MOBILE. These opportunities are potential benefits of the Programme and are not guaranteed outcomes for any individual Participant.

2.Eligibility

2.1 To be eligible to apply, Applicants must:

2.2 In selecting Participants, preference may be given to Applicants who have competitive gaming experience, previous tournament-organising experience, are university seniors or recent graduates, or otherwise demonstrate the ability to mobilise communities for events.

2.3 Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Organiser, PUBG MOBILE, and their respective affiliates are not eligible to participate.

2.4 The Organiser may require proof of identity, age, or residence at any time. Failure to provide satisfactory proof may result in disqualification.

3.Applications and Selection

3.1 Applications must be submitted through the official application channel by the published deadline. Late, incomplete, or inaccurate applications may be rejected at the Organiser's discretion.

3.2 Trainee acceptance is limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) Participants: up to three (3) each from Kenya, South Africa, Mauritius, and Nigeria, and up to three (3) from other Sub-Saharan African regions.

3.3 Selection decisions are made by the Organiser at its sole discretion and are final. The Organiser is not obliged to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications, and submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

3.4 Any form of misrepresentation in an application, including false information about identity, age, residence, experience, or in-game accounts, will result in disqualification at any stage of the Programme.

4.Participation Requirements

4.1 Participants are expected to engage with all eight modules, attend the live session for each module, and complete all module assessments and the final assessment within the timelines communicated by the Organiser.

4.2 The Programme is delivered remotely. Participants are responsible for their own equipment, software, and internet connectivity, and for any costs associated with them.

4.3 Participants who fail to engage with the Programme, miss assessments without reasonable cause, or become unreachable may be removed from the Programme, and their place may be offered to another Applicant.

4.4 Participation in the Programme is free of charge. No fee is payable to apply or participate, and the Organiser will never request payment in exchange for a Programme place. Participation does not constitute employment (see clause 8).

5.Code of Conduct

5.1 Participants must at all times behave professionally and respectfully towards fellow Participants, trainers, and Programme staff. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or abusive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

5.2 Participants must comply with the PUBG MOBILE terms of service and all applicable game and platform rules. Cheating, account sharing, or any conduct that has resulted or results in a game ban may lead to removal from the Programme.

5.3 Participants must follow all brand-compliance guidance provided during the Programme when creating any material that references PUBG MOBILE or the Programme.

5.4 Breach of this code of conduct may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from the Programme at the Organiser's discretion.

6.Intellectual Property

6.1 All Programme materials, including training content, module materials, templates, and recordings, are and remain the property of the Organiser or its licensors. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for the purpose of the Programme only, and may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise them.

6.2 "PUBG MOBILE" and all associated names, logos, and assets are the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants Participants any right to use them outside activities approved under the Programme.

6.3 Participants retain ownership of original work they create during the Programme (including tournament proposals), but grant the Organiser and its partners a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and adapt such work for the purposes of evaluating assessments, operating the Programme, and promoting the Programme and future editions of it.

7.Publicity, Data Protection, and Privacy

7.1 Personal information collected in applications and during the Programme (including name, contact details, country of residence, PUBG MOBILE UID, education details, and assessment results) will be used to administer the Programme, communicate with Applicants and Participants, and select internship recipients. It will be shared only with parties involved in delivering the Programme and will be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection laws.

7.2 Participants agree that the Organiser may use their name, likeness, country, and Programme achievements in Programme-related announcements and promotional materials, without additional compensation, unless the Participant withdraws this consent in writing.

7.3 Live sessions may be recorded for training and quality purposes.

8.Internship and No Employment Relationship

8.1 Participation in the Programme, including the training course and any assessment, does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship between the Participant and the Organiser or PUBG MOBILE.

8.2 Any internship offered to top performers will be subject to a separate agreement setting out its terms, including location or remote arrangement, duration, any stipend, and conditions. The internship is conditional on the recipient satisfying any applicable legal and visa requirements.

8.3 If a selected internship recipient declines, becomes ineligible, or is unable to take up the internship, the Organiser may offer it to another Participant, or elect not to offer it at all.

9.Changes, Suspension, and Termination

9.1 The Organiser may amend these Terms, the Programme schedule, module content, or delivery format where reasonably necessary. Material changes will be communicated to Participants.

9.2 The Organiser reserves the right to suspend or cancel the Programme, in whole or in part, where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make it impracticable to continue. In such cases the Organiser will have no liability to Applicants or Participants beyond reasonable efforts to resume or reschedule the Programme.

10.Liability

10.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser, PUBG MOBILE, and their respective affiliates, officers, and staff will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in, or inability to participate in, the Programme.

10.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11.General

11.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

11.2 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Applicant/Participant and the Organiser in relation to the Programme application and training phase, and supersede any prior representations relating to it.

11.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert jurisdiction], and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [insert jurisdiction].
